Renault appeal set for August 17

The appeal lodged by the Federation Francaise du Sport Automobile (FFSA) on behalf of ING Renault will be heard on August 17 in Paris. Renault has been banned from the next Grand Prix for "knowingly "releasing Fernando Alonso from the pit stop position without one of the retaining devices for the wheel-nuts being securely in position; being aware of this but failing to take any action to prevent the car from leaving the pit-lane and failing to inform the driver of this problem.
