Red Bull has agreed a new partnership with the Citroen C4 WRC team in the FIA World Rally Championship. The deal kicks off in Argentina this weekend. Red Bull was previously a partner of Skoda in the WRC, but the Czech company has renounced its WRC plans and is now developing a Fabia S2000 car for use in racing.

Red Bull is hoping to cash in on the success enjoyed by the Citroen team in recent years, with Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena and Dani Sordo/Marc Marti. The team won three consecutive drivers' titles with Loeb between 2004-2006. The Frenchman is aiming to win again this year after being beaten to the title in 2007 by Ford's Marcus Gronholm.

Loeb has won two of the three events so far this year.
