Red Bull Racing's new car - dubbed the RB1 - will make its first appearance today at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, where the team will begin testing the car. The RB1 has been produced by the design crew which Red Bull acquired with Jaguar Racing although since then Gunther Steiner has taken over the role of technical director. The design comes from Rob Taylor's team with input from Ben Agathangelou's aerodynamic department. There is input also from the advanced engineering division (headed by former BAR designer Andrew Green) and Chris Hammond's Vehicle Science group while Ian Pocock, the director of engineering, has been repsonsible for manufacturing the car. The team has a new head of race engineering in Gerry Hughes, who has joined the team from Jordan in recent weeks. He previously worked at Jaguar Racing as Eddie Irvine's race engineer.
