There are reports in the Turkish media that the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is looking for money to be able to finish construction work at the Istanbul Otodrom, which is scheduled to host the Turkish Grand Prix in August. The stories say that the project has already cost $153m and another $55.1m is needed. The Istanbul state and city authorities are expected to provide some of the extra funding. This is unlikely to have any effect on the Grand Prix by may slow down the completion of other aspects of the complex, which is planned to include facilities for fairs, conventions and concerts and an advanced driving school.
