In an interview with the British F1 Racing magazine, former FIA president Max Mosley has backed Gerhard Berger as the best person to take over from current F1 commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone.

"He's very clever," said Mosley. "He fundamentally understands the business and always did his own deals. But there's only a small chance he would do it. Gerhard's an entrepreneur who does business for himself and I can't really see him working with CVC."

Mosley also denied a disliking of Ron Dennis, saying that if he bumped into Ron in the street, they would go for a beer! Ron's thoughts went unrecorded... Mosley added that he thinks both Ron and Bernie deserve knighthoods for their achievements in motorsport!
