Montagny hangs on by his finger nails

Franck Montagny's desire to be a Formula 1 driver is not to be doubted but with the possibility of a driver on offer this year in Champ Car with Rocketsports, the signs are that the Frenchman would head off to the USA to try and emulate the success enjoyed by his longtime rival Sebastien Bourdais.

But it seems that Montagny's love affair with F1 is not over yet and he will take part in the first three races this year as third driver for Super Aguri F1. The only problem is that the team does not have a third car.

It is unlikely that this will much help his career but it will mean that he is at races and would thus be available to step in if a drive became available.
