Mallya on his way to the Forum

Vijay Mallya, the billionaire owner of the Force India F1 team and the major influence behind India™s bid to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix, will give a presentation during the opening session of the Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco.

Vijay Mallya, the billionaire owner of the Force India F1 team and the major influence behind India™s bid to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix, will give a presentation during the opening session of the Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco. Mallya will talk about how to harness the passion of a country which has the potential to become one of Formula One™s biggest markets. He will also reveal all about his business plans for the Force India F1 team.

"A great many top executives from the world of global motor sport will be in Monaco at the beginning of December to attend the Motor Sport Business Forum and the FIA Prize Giving Gala," Mallya said. "From a business point of view, Monaco in early December is therefore the ideal place and time to introduce the Force India F1 concept to the great and good of the global motor sport industry."

Adding to the international flavour of the conference will be US investor Matthew Doherty, who will offer an insight on how to buy a motor racing team. Doherty™s banking firm McLaren Capital Advisors has over 25 years of investment banking and deal-making expertise, particularly in Formula 1. Recently, the company was instrumental in negotiating the buyout of Evernham Motorsports by George Gillett.
