Lotus team boss Gerard Lopez won a pair of gloves that the late Ayrton Senna used to win his third world championship in 1991 at a charity auction for mechanics Monday night.

Lopez paid 22,000 pounds for the gloves, donated by longtime McLaren team coordinator Jo Ramirez, who was close to Senna during his long stint with the team. The auction for Jackie Stewart's Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust raised more than 92,000 pounds at the event held at London's Royal Opera House.
