Lewis Hamilton won the Marlboro Masters event at Zandvoort on Sunday in his ASM Dallara-Mercedes. The race, which is usually held in August, was moved forward in the calendar to avoid falling foul of the new European anti-smoking legislation which comes into force later this year.

The field included two Marlboro-branded Lolas as the tobacco company enjoys its final opportunities to make an impact with motor racing. The result means that Hamilton has a lead of 24 points in the championship over James Rossiter.

Hamilton was followed home at Zandvoort by his ASM team mate Adrian Sutil and Lucas di Grassi (Manor Motorsport). Paul di Resta (Manor Motorsport) was fourth ahead of Kohei Hirate (Team Rosberg Dallara-Opel) and his team-mate, Giedo van der Garde.
