Hadjar absence may extend beyond Zandvoort

Red Bull still does not know how long Isack Hadjar will be sidelined after the Frenchman injured his wrist while training during the summer break.

Paddock speculation suggests Hadjar may have hurt himself striking a heavy boxing bag, although Red Bull has not confirmed the precise circumstances.

Team principal Laurent Mekies says the injury is minor, but Red Bull will take no chances.

Isack is alright, said the Frenchman.

He suffered a minor injury in the summer break while training. We have no reason to take any risk with him.

He has done a fantastic start of the season, he has been stronger and stronger every time he has been driving this car out of the garage, session after session, weekend after weekend.

We take zero risk, we let him sort out the recovery this weekend, and hopefully we'll have him very, very quickly back in the car.

Liam Lawson will replace Hadjar at Red Bull in Zandvoort, while Yuki Tsunoda returns to Racing Bulls.

Neither replacement driver knows yet whether the arrangement will continue beyond this weekend.

From what I understand, I'll be in the car here at Zandvoort, Tsunoda told RTBF.

As for the rest, it will depend on how Isack progresses. I'm not sure about the next Grand Prix.
