Friesacher's deal with Minardi

It looks like Austrian Patrick Friesacher will be driving the second Minardi this year as the team has scheduled a press conference for Austria on Tuesday. The original plan was for a press conference to be held in Copenhagen to announce a deal with Nicolas Kiesa.

It looks like Austrian Patrick Friesacher will be driving the second Minardi this year as the team has scheduled a press conference for Austria on Tuesday. The original plan was for a press conference to be held in Copenhagen to announce a deal with Nicolas Kiesa but we hear on the jungle telegraph that the money for the deal has not been forthcoming and that the Dane may lose out to Friesacher. However, one should be acreful to read anything into the announcement because it is being made in Austria as it may well be that Freisacher will simply be named as the team's third driver - as originally intended. Kiesa can still get the drive if he comes up with cash in the time available. So we probably will not know for certain who will drive the second car untl just before the announcement is made.
