The FIA stewards for the Hungarian Grand Prix have fined the Renault and Mercedes teams US$50,000 each for unsafe releases during the Safety Car period today.

At Renault, Robert Kubica was released from his pitstop just as Adrian Sutil was coming into the Force India pit stall, just in front of the Renault pit, and a collision ensued. Sutil was out on the spot, and Kubica retired a few laps later with damage to his car.

At Mercedes, Nico Rosberg was released without his right rear tyre being properly secured, and subsequently the wheel came off, bouncing it's way into the Williams pit, injuring one of the team's mechanics. Pitcrewman Nigel Hope was taken to the medical centre for a precautionary visit, and then was released.
