FIA sets date for Ferrari hearing

The FIA has announced that the World Motor Sport Council will meet on Wednesday, September 8 to look into the controversy surrounding Ferrari team orders at the German Grand Prix.

The FIA has announced that the World Motor Sport Council will meet on Wednesday, September 8 to look into the controversy surrounding Ferrari team orders at the German Grand Prix.

The Italian team was fined $100,000 by the Hockenheim race stewards last month when Felipe Massa gave way to his team mate Fernando Alonso for the race win. The FIA has announced that having reviewed the report from the stewards that FIA president Jean Todt has decided to submit the case to the WMSC.

The hearing is scheduled to take place just before the Italian Grand Prix at Monza - Ferrari's home race.
