Fernandes to be keynote speaker in Monaco

Tony Fernandes, Team Principal of the new LotusF1 team and one of the main investors in the venture through his Tune Group company, will deliver the keynote address on the first day of the 2009 Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco.

Fernandes, who is also the CEO of successful airline AirAsia, is expected to further details about the team and its ambitions in Formula 1. He will also be able to talk about the team™s unique partnership with the Malaysian Government and the marketing plan behind bringing the Lotus name back F1 for the first time since 1994.

The second day of the Forum will begin with a keynote from Jacques Raynaud, Vice-Chairman of pan-European broadcaster Eurosport. As well as its television business, Eurosport is involved in running major motor sport championships through its KSO subsidiary, which is the promoter of the FIA World Touring Car Championship and also being the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
