The United States Grand Prix officials at Full Throttle Productions have gotten all the necessary planning permissions to begin construction on the site at Wandering Creek - south-east of Austin.

Race promoter Tavo Hellmund was on hand last week to oversee groundbreaking on the $250m circuit - the Hermann Tilke designed track will be built by Dallas based construction firm Austin Commercial, one of the largest in the state.
