Button targets 'the classics'

This weekend's Belgian GP ends F1's summer break and sets the world championship on a hectic nine-race schedule in which only Singapore is not part of a back-to-back race schedule. Europe's final two races are at the classic Spa and Monza tracks with McLaren looking to continue where it left off in Hungary.

Lewis Hamilton's close-fought win at Hungaroring sent the team off into the summer break on a high and Hamilton feels that we can come back for the final nine races with a real chance to go for both championships.

Jenson Button's chances of mounting a title bid have to be considered a long shot, however, but that has not stopped him targeting wins at Spa and Monza.

"The past few weeks have been a perfect combination of a bit of downtime to relax and some great training, all of which has me raring to get back in the car.

"I've been out to the Philippines and Hawai training and have had a bit of a holiday. While I've had a good break, I'm really looking forward to getting back to work.

"You couldn't really ask for a more spectacular double header for F1's return. Spa is the daddy of them all, one of the all-time great grand prix tracks, and Monza is one of the most historic and evocative circuits on the calendar. They are each places with a unique atmosphere. I've got some really great memories of both, but I've won neither. Given our pace in the last few races, I feel positive about rectifying that."
