Alonso set to announce race future
SPANISH driver Fernando Alonso has said he will announce his Formula One future within the next two weeks -- with Minardi favorite to secure his services.
"In 10 days, more or less, my future will be clear," Alonso said. "I'm waiting on news from Minardi. To be ready in time for Australia work on the car has to start next week."
Benetton boss Flavio Briatore is widely-believed to have a long-term contract with the youngster that could involve a Minardi drive together with a supply of Mecachrome engines.
