Winkelhock to test for Jordan
As part of its ongoing effort to discover talented drivers, The Midland Group is going to test Renault World Series driver Markus Winkelhock at Jerez on December 10.
As part of its ongoing effort to discover talented drivers, The Midland Group is going to test Renault World Series driver Markus Winkelhock at Jerez on December 10.
The 25-year-old German, son the late Manfred Winkelhock, an F1 driver in the 1980s, competed for the Draco Multiracing USA Team and finished third in the Renault championship, winning three races.
"Twenty years ago, my father drove in F1, so this will be a great and unforgettable experience for me," Winkelhock said.
Manfred Winkelhock was killed while racing a Porsche sports car at Mosport Park in Canada in 1985.
