Williams drivers fastest at Magny-Cours
WILLIAMS-BMW drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Marc Gene were fastest Friday during the third and final day of testing at Nevers Magny-Cours. Montoya ran the fastest lap of the day at 1m13.896s, while Gene, the teams test driver, was half a second off the Colombian's time.
Testing was stopped temporarily in the morning when Kimi Raikkonen had a large accident in the Sauber-Petronas after taking over testing duties from Nick Heidfeld. Raikkonen was taken to the Nevers Magny-Cours CHU Hospital for a routine check up, was released promptly, and has since flown back to Finland.
Heinz-Harald Frentzen was back in the Prost today relieving the teams new test driver Thomas Enge. Frentzen was third fastest of the day with a time of 1m15.398s.
