TESTING continued in mostly wet conditions at Silverstone Wednesday, but the track dried for a brief period in midmorning, allowing some useful dry runs for some of the teams.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Arrows' newest team member, set the fastest time of the day during the dry spell in the Cosworth-powered A23, while continuing development of the new car alongside teammate Enrique Bernoldi.

Jordan's young Takuma Sato tested EJ11 and EJ12 chassis Wednesday, and will wrap up the team's preseason testing on Thursday, conducting electrical system tests.

Renault and Jaguar both completed testing programs Wednesday, and will prepare to ship the cars to Melbourne this weekend. Eddie Irvine continued to test the revised Jaguar R3 chassis, and Jenson Button and Jarno Trulli merely shook down the three R202s they will be taking to Melbourne and conducted some pit-stop practice during their final day of preseason testing.
