Vettel goes to the World Series
Sebastian Vettel has been much heralded as Germany's bright new star and thus it is a bit of a surprise that he has signed to drive for Carlin Motorsport in the 2007 World Series by Renault. Vettel did a decent job in the Formula 3 Euroseries and was expected to move up to GP2.

The 19 year-old German competed with Carlin at the Misano and Spa rounds of the 2006 World Series Championship as part of the Red Bull junior driver programme and showed well and so much will be expected of him in 2007.
Vettel will be BMW's third driver in F1 in 2007. There are some clashes notably the Monza WSR date and Bahrain GP in April and the Donington WSR race which is on the same weekend as the Italian GP in September.
This may open the way for Timo Glock to be the BMW F1 test driver.
