Updated 2014 calendar

A new F1 calendar for 2014 has been circulated to the teams in the paddock in Austin.

A new F1 calendar for 2014 has been circulated to the teams in the paddock in Austin. Here is the proposed schedule:

16 March - Australia

30 March - Malaysia

6 April - Bahrain

20 April - China

11 May - Spain

25 May - Monaco

8 June - Canada

22 June - Austria

6 July - Britain

20 July - Germany

27 July - Hungary

24 August - Belgium

7 September - Italy

21 September - Singapore

5 October - Russia

12 October - Japan

26 October - United States

2 November - Brazil

16 November - Abu Dhabi

There is some concern with the schedule as the opening race in Australia followed by a two week gap to the paired Malaysian and Bahrain races, followed by another two week gap to the Chinese GP - so either the F1 circus is forced to make three long-haul fly-away trips or be forced to be on the road for six weeks to open the season. Abu Dhabi will now be the season ending race instead of Brazil, which has held the spot for the last few seasons.
