Trulli completes New York marathon

JORDAN driver Jarno Trulli produced an impressive performance in the New York Marathon on Sunday when he completed the event in 10,230th place - but was unhappy after he failed to achieve his own personal target.

JORDAN driver Jarno Trulli produced an impressive performance in the New York Marathon on Sunday when he completed the event in 10,230th place - but was unhappy after he failed to achieve his own personal target.

The Italian ended the 26-mile event in four hours, two minutes and 21 seconds - just two hours slower than eventual winner Abdelkhader El Mouaziz, of Morocco.

Trulli, 26, was placed at 1,070 in his age range, and was 8,775th in the men's category, but was unhappy at not achieve his target of completing the distance under four hours.

"It was a great challenge for me," Trulli said. "I'm happy to have finished such a tough event, but it is a shame I didn't achieve my target of running under four hours."
