Tracy to defend CART title

Paul Tracy has taken a long time to win the CART title but says that he knows that he is too old to try to move into Formula 1 and so is going to settle for defending his title next season.

Paul Tracy has taken a long time to win the CART title but says that he knows that he is too old to try to move into Formula 1 and so is going to settle for defending his title next season.

"A lot of guys have won the CART title and left for Formula 1," Tracy said. "I'm too old for that. I'm looking forward to defending the title. I think the CART series is going to come back strongly next year under the new ownership."
