Toyota looking to Russia
The Toyota Motor Corp is rumored to be on the verge of an announcement that it will build a factory in Russia with the aim of starting production of SUVs in within the next four years.

The Toyota Motor Corp is rumored to be on the verge of an announcement that it will build a factory in Russia with the aim of starting production of SUVs in within the next four years. Toyota wants to get a share of the growing Russian automobile market. The company is aiming to sell 20,000 Land Cruisers a year in Russia within five years. Toyota continues to push hard in Europe, its stated goal being to win a five percent share of the European market by 2005. This effort is being supported by the Toyota F1 program. Toyota is believed to be keen on the idea of a Grand Prix in Russia.
