The FIA International Court of Appeal met in Paris today to hear the appeal lodged by the Automobile Club dItalia/Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (ACI/CSAI) on behalf of Scuderia Toro Rosso against the Stewards of the Japanese GP who decided to penalise Tonio Liuzzi 25 seconds for overtaking the Spyker of Adrian Sutil under yellow flags. The penalty meant that Sutil was put ahead of Liuzzi in the results and thus scored a World Championship point - the Spyker team's first. It was also the first point for Scuderia Toro Rosso although this is not as important as once it was given that the team picked up eight points in China.

The result of the appeal will be published on Saturday afternoon.
