In his second year with Williams, Alex Albon confirmed all the good things he did in 2022 and single handedly helped his team ti finish in an unexpected P7 in the championship, completely outpacing rookie Logan Sargeant. With a more competitive car than in the prevjous season, the Thai still needed to resort to some heroic defending tactics without ever putting a dangerous move on his rivals and only occasionally resorting to desperate tyre strategies in a bit to gain on strategy on what didn’t have the means to get in pure pace.

The friendly outlook and childish charm don’t show the imense competitive fire that burns inside the man quickly discarded by Red Bull and with James Vowles’ full support, Albon has raised to the level of team leader in a team that depends on him for results, showing a lot of qualities that were hiden in his 18 months with the Austrian team.

Quick, dependable, honest to a fault in all his self-assessments, Albon scored points on eight occasions, way more than any other driving cars that were not among the six most competitive ones, easly earning his pace in this top ten.
