Thirteen supporters injured in Hockenheim

THIRTEEN spectators were injured as torrential rain hit Hockenheim on Friday -- circuit officials have announced.

The fans, who were all camping near to the German track, were caught in the torrential rain, lightning and flash floods as over two inches of water fell in less than one hour.

The electric shock victims were all taken to local hospitals in Schwetzingen, Mannheim and Speyer.
