Things revving up for the Monaco Forum

Leading sponsors and investors from across global motor sport will be participating in the Motor Sport Business Forum's flagship event in Monaco on 9-10 December 2009.

Leading sponsors and investors from across global motor sport will be participating in the Motor Sport Business Forum's flagship event in Monaco on 9-10 December 2009.

Talal Al Zain, CEO of Mumtalakat Holdings, the investment arm of the Kingdom of Bahrain and a 30 per cent stakeholder in the McLaren Formula One team, will offer his views on why motor sport is still a worthwhile investment.

This will be followed by a panel session featuring some of the leading sponsors in the sport. Participants include LG's Chief Marketing Officer Dermot Boden, Shell's General Manager Global Sponsorships Richard Bracewell, Diageo's Global Sponsorship Director Gary Carey and Hilton's Director of Sports Sponsorship Robin Fenwick.

Shell's Richard Bracewell said: "The Motor Sport Business Forum is a great learning opportunity and a great place for networking. Whilst we are in the F1 paddock every two weeks, you don't get much opportunity to talk to others about trends in the sport and exchange views. This event offers the ideal forum to focus on and discuss these issues."

Also participating will be Peter Harris, managing director of leading sponsorship agency Iris, which works with major sports sponsors such as Sony Ericsson, Coca-Cola, Shell, Sony, and Adidas.

The full conference programme will be released shortly with further high-profile speakers set to confirm their participation.
