The Formula 1 team bosses go off on their Christmas breaks rather mystified by the FIA's call for a meeting on January 15. The aim of this meeting is to discuss how to cut costs in F1 with immediate effect. The f1 teams say that they are going to try to cut costs but that this is difficult for the 2003 season because so much has already been planned. There is talk of cuts for 2004 but several teams could be out of business before that happens.

Max Mosley is not saying anything about the proposals he is going to put forward in January and it is not expected that there will be any information before the New Year at the earliest.
