THE Agnelli Family has just announced plans to float 35% of the Juventus soccer team on the Milan Stock Exchange and that will inevitably lead to questions as to whether eventually the Agnellis will also agree to float a percentage of shares in Ferrari. The Agnelli Family, rather than Fiat, is the controlling shareholder in Ferrari and in recent years there has been a clear strategy of expansion for the company both in terms of the sale of cars but also finance and mechandising.
Any such flotation would leave the family is control of the famous automobile company but would give the public the chance to own a small share of their favorite racing team.
