That's it for testing!

The Formula 1 teams head for Hockenheim this week in the knowledge that there will be no more testing between now and the week after the Belgian Grand Prix at the end of August. During the month of August there is a complete ban on all testing activities and so preparation for the German, Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix is now already completed and the next big tests will not come until the first week of September in the run-up to the Italian Grand Prix.

The big teams will not stop their development programmes as new parts will be thoroughly tested in the windtunnels and on the various different testing rigs and dynos that now exist.
