Testing resumes

Williams and Renault were back to work on Tuesday at Silverstone. Both teams put their test drivers to work, Marc Gene for Williams and Fernando Alonso for Renault.

WILLIAMS and Renault were back to work on Tuesday at Silverstone. Both teams put their test drivers to work, Marc Gene for Williams and Fernando Alonso for Renault.

The two teams tested Michelin's newest offering that will be debuted in Malaysia in less than two weeks. Gene was two seconds quicker than Alonso, who was behind the wheel of a R201.

Ferrari was also in action on Tuesday. Luciano Burti continued development of the race winning F2001 at Fiorano, and will continue his work Wednesday. Luca Badoer will test the yet to be raced F2002 at Mugello on Wednesday as well.
