The Renault pair of Fernando Alonso and Jarno Trulli wrapped up a five day program in Spain on Friday. Trulli continued to test the new R202 while Alonso tested a R201 chassis.

Takuma Sato provided some excitement in Barcelona when he lost control of the Jordan EJ11 he was driving and crashed rather heavily in turn 12, the same spot Michael Schumacher lost control of his Ferrari just days ago. The young Japanese driver completed 44 laps before his shunt, and was joined by teammate Giancarlo Fisichella, testing the new EJ12.

Jaguar rejoined the Barcelona test Friday, after modifying the front wing of the new R3, which is rumored to be giving the Milton Keynes based team some problems. Eddie Irvine tested the new car with a revised front wing, and Pedro De la Rosa tested a R2 chassis. Irvine was a second and a half off his teammate's pace.

Jaguar will return to the Spanish circuit Saturday, and will have the track to themselves.
