Team Lotus postscript

TEAM LOTUS went out of business four years ago although David Hunt - who bought the Team Lotus name from the receivers - continues to dream about putting Lotus back into Grand Prix racing.ĂŠLast week three directors of the team: Peter Collins, Peter Wright and James McDougall were all banned from acting as company directors for nine, seven and eight years respectively.

The disqualifications followed the collapse of TLL Realisations - formerly Team Lotus Ltd. - which was wound up by the courts in 1995 with debts of more than $20m. Between 1991 and 1994 Team Lotus ran up-and-coming stars Mika Hakkinen, Johnny Herbert and Alex Zanardi.
