Sospiri pushing for F1 future

THE newly-crowned European Formula 3000 Champion Vincenzo Sospiri is busy trying to find himself an F1 drive in 1996. Every F3000 Champion to date has raced in F1 and Sospiri does not want to be the exception to the rule. The Italian was in Japan for talks with F1 team bosses. After the Japanese Grand Prix Sospiri was due to fly back to Europe to join a Ligier test at Mugello in Italy, designed to give the team an idea about young drivers.

This test scheduled for the end of this week will include Elf prot?g? Emmanuel Collard - who is nominally the Benetton test driver this year - Ligier Junior Team driver Jeremie Dufour who has raced in British F3 this year and Sospiri.
