Silly stories

Fernando Alonso does not seem to be such a happy man at the moment but the Spaniard knows that there are just two races to go in the World Championship and then he can take a well-earned rest and start to think about his future with McLaren. But the next 16 days are going to be hard work. Alonso is obviously not happy with the way things panned out in Shanghai but it is not surprising that Renault did as it did in China to safeguard the Constructors' Championship which is as important to the team as the Drivers' title. A World Championship is a World Championship.
For those who like to see conspiracies in everything the last few days has been entertaining but anyone who seriously believes that the people at Renault would sabotage Alonso because he is going to McLaren either need their heads examining or they have never talked to anyone in F1 team. Racing people exist to try to win - they may not always achieve that but it is hard to imagine anyone in F1 trying to make their driver finish second.
