Schumacher-Sauber union unlikely

RUMORS that world champion Michael Schumacher will buy into the Sauber team following the withdrawal of Red Bull money at the end of this season seem to be little more than paddock gossip.

RUMORS that world champion Michael Schumacher will buy into the Sauber team following the withdrawal of Red Bull money at the end of this season seem to be little more than paddock gossip.

Schumacher drove for the Sauber team in World Sportscars before he made his Formula One debut, but he is not believed to be interested in buying back into the team after the reports were ruled out as speculation.

The world champion's press officer refused to make an official comment on the suggestions, but hinted that the rumors were simply unfounded.

Red Bull's withdrawal from the Swiss team leaves shares open for purchase, but it seems very unlikely that Schumacher will take an early opportunity to move into team management.
