Schumacher insured for a fortune
Michael Schumacher has reputedly insured himself to the value of $81 million for the coming season with the renowned Lloyds of London.
The reigning champion's annual premium of $5.67 million covers him - financially at least - against all catastrophes including a $20 million sum if his career were to be cut short by injury or a $3 million per race deal if he were temporarily sidelined as was the case in 1999 after he broke his leg at the British Grand Prix.
