Sauber deny Heidfeld rumors
THE Sauber Formula One team have denied speculation in the German media that driver Nick Heidfeld will not race in this weekend's European Grand Prix.
German Heidfeld had to rest after suffering headaches during testing at Silverstone last week but the team claims he has recovered and will race at the Nurburgring.
"It is absolutely not true," said a team spokesperson. "He is at home getting ready to go to the Nurburgring.
"As far as the team is concerned everything is routine and he is fine to race this weekend."
Fellow German Heinz-Harald Frentzen was replaced at the last race in Canada when he suffered continued headaches and dizziness after a Monaco crash in his Jordan.
He was replaced at the Jordan team by Ricardo Zonta in Montreal but is expected to be fit to make a return to the cockpit in his native land this weekend.
Ulsterman Eddie Irvine was another casualty of the Silverstone test but will also return to action for Jaguar after a slight neck injury.
