Renault Sport grabs Bell

RENAULT SPORT has plucked away Jordan's head of research and development Bob Bell. Bell has worked with Renault Sport technical director Mike Gascoyne on several occasions, notably at McLaren where Bell was head of aerodynamics before being transferred on to the Maverick World Land Speed Record program. He left McLaren in 1997 and moved to Benetton where he was head of aerodynamics until March last year when Gascoyne lured him to Jordan with the offer of the research and development portfolio.

Gascoyne left soon afterwards to go to Benetton and now Bell is following.
