Renault go for Mr White

Rob White, the chief engineer at Cosworth Racing, has been appointed Technical Director (Engine) at Renault F1 in Paris.

Rob White, the chief engineer at Cosworth Racing, has been appointed Technical Director (Engine) at Renault F1 in Paris. White started work at Viry-Chatillon on January 1 and will work alongside Bernard Dudot, who is currently deputy managing-director of the French operation.

White is 38 and has been with Cosworth since 1987, working initially on the Cosworth CART engines based in Torrance, California but in 1997 becoming the chief engineer of Cosworth.
