ALAIN PROST has remained elusive on the future engine suppliers of his team as they were linked with the Asiatech power-unit for next season at last weekend's European Grand Prix.

Asiatech will split with the Arrows team for next season and were linked with Prost, who are currently use re-badged Ferrari engines.

Prost refused to confirm or deny anything, but said his team will issue a statement in the next few weeks.

"Formula One has plenty of rumors," said Prost. "We have a deal with Ferrari, we are very happy with Ferrari, they are doing a good job for us so there is no point to change.

"We will see if there is something different in the next two weeks but at the moment we don't plan to change. I will do a statement very quickly to tell what is happening."

Another rumor to float around the Nurburgring circuit was that current Benetton team manager Flavio Briatore could be on his way to Prost. But Alain Prost soon dismissed that story.

He added: "I don't know how he (Flavio) could buy the team."
