Pollock sizes up CART

Jacques Villeneuve and Craig Pollock's visit to Miami over the weekend for the CART Grand Prix of the Americas caused some speculation that the 1995 CART Champion may still return to the US series, but Pollock may also be looking to the US to make his return as team owner and director.

Jacques Villeneuve and Craig Pollock's visit to Miami over the weekend for the CART Grand Prix of the Americas caused some speculation that the 1995 CART Champion may still return to the US series, but Pollock may also be looking to the US to make his return as team owner.

Pollock has been looking to buy a Formula One team since being ousted from BAR last December, but has been unsuccessful so far. In Miami, however, Pollock met with Chris Pook to discuss the possibility of starting a team in the US, and liked what he heard.

It is unlikely Pollock could organize a team for 2003, but with the desperate state of CART, Pook may be willing to help in any efforts which may bring Villeneuve back to the US.
