Pollock certain he will be in charge of BAR
BRITISH AMERICAN RACING managing director Craig Pollock is certain that he will remain in charge of the team despite and emergency general meeting being called.
Pollock confirmed that a board meeting is due to be held on November 1 but pointed out that there are no items on the agenda which include discussions about the sale of the Brackley-based team or any share transfers. He said the team will remain unchanged next season.
"I have no intention of there being any changes at all," said Pollock. "Nothing will change."
The team's chief operating officer Ian Ross also confirmed that any changes in the team were highly unlikely.
He confirmed that the team is a joint venture involving three parties - Pollock, Adrian Reynard's Reynard Cars operation and British American Tobacco - and that in such joint ventures disagreements were common.
BAR have been at the center of long-running sagas over their future with engine suppliers Honda rumored to be preparing a buyout plan and eight staff members were linked with the proposed purchase of a majority share in the company.
