Petronas to buy Sepang

IT is not surprising that the Malaysian state oil company Petronas is tipped to be buying the Sepang Formula One circuit.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd built the circuit but has been trying to sell it for some time and Petronas says it is now talking about a deal. This has been expected for some time. Both companies have close links with the Malaysian government and a deal makes sense for all concerned as the airport company is struggling at the moment.
