Perez given penalty for causing accident

Sergio Perez has been given a 7 place grid penalty for causing an accident with Adrian Sutil during the first lap of today‘s United States Grand Prix.

The Mexican arrived at Turn 16 too fast, as he tried to overtake Adrian Sutil, but hit the rear of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari, before sliding into the German's Sauber, hitting him twice and forcing Sutil to retire on the spot

In addition to the grid penalty, Perez has been handed 2 penalty points.
