BRITISH AMERICAN RACING driver Olivier Panis has said he is not surprised by the recent resurgence in form from the BMW-Williams team this season.

Frenchman Panis, who will compete in his home event this weekend, has been impressed by the Williams squad and suggested the BAR must strive to follow their lead.

"To be honest I am not really surprised - the team has a lot of experience, it's really strong sometimes and the package Williams have this year is really good," said Panis.

"For us we are making a good package, not as good as Williams, but we need to work hard to keep the same way."

Panis will compete in his 101st Grand Prix this Sunday in France as he aims to add to the five championship points he has scored this season.
