Orange aiming for German markets?

FRANCE TELECOM is trying to take over the German mobile telephone company Mobilcom AG, in which it holds a 28.5% shareholding. The aim apparently is to spread the Orange brand across more of the European markets. The French company has spent the last few months transferring all of its mobile operations in France to the Orange brand and this is now beginning to be successful. The next step is to expand to Germany as Orange is already successful in the British market. The use of Formula 1 as a marketing tool has been very successful although there is a debate going on within Orange as to whether or not it would be more successful if the company was with a higher-placed team. That would mean more exposure but less space on the car.

It would probably help matters (or at least would not do any harm) if Arrows had a German driver...
