More trouble at Arrows as Nielsen goes

STEVE NIELSEN, the team manager of Arrows, has left the team unexpectedly, having failed to reach agreement with team boss Tom Walkinshaw on a two-year deal which had been discussed in August, when Nielsen came close to signing to head the new Toyota Motorsport team.

STEVE NIELSEN, the team manager of Arrows, has left the team unexpectedly, having failed to reach agreement with team boss Tom Walkinshaw on a two-year deal which had been discussed in August, when Nielsen came close to signing to head the new Toyota Motorsport team. It remains to be seen who will take over the role at Arrows. In the course of the last two years the team has lost experienced managers Gordon Message and John Walton and with Nielsen also departing it is going to be very hard for the team to attract a top level organizer as there are clearly reasons why the others have left.

Nielsen's future is not yet known but we hear that he may well move to Benetton where he will work under Sporting Director Gordon Message. The current Benetton team manager Carlos Nunes is expected to return to his old job running the Benetton test team.
